Activities in the heart of the Cévennes

Walking
As soon as you set foot outside the campsite, you will find multiple signposted paths for both challenging hikes and gentle family walks. With a range of difficulty levels, you will be able to choose the route that suits you. The Cévennes mountain range is located in the south-eastern corner of the Massif central, straddling the Lozère and Gard departments. Wondrous landscapes are in store, including mountains, valleys, greenery and wilderness.
Cycling and mountain-biking
Want to explore the great outdoors in the heart of the Cévennes national park? Grab your bike and set off to explore what the region has to offer. The range of difficulty levels mean that you can enjoy a relaxing bike ride or a more challenging trek.

Canyoning
The rivers running through the Cévennes are a perfect setting for canyoning thanks to the incredible routes they offer. The pinnacle of high-adrenaline sports, canyoning is the best way to discover the region from a unique perspective.
Just 20 minutes from the campsite, this activity gives you a glimpse of places very few people have dared to explore. Adrenaline and unforgettable moments guaranteed!
Canoeing and kayaking
One hour from the campsite, in the legendary Gorges du Tarn and Gorges de l’Hérault, why not give canoeing or kayaking a go and discover the region’s magical landscapes? Have a picnic and a dip in the river with family and friends while enjoying the breath-taking scenery these locations have on offer. This extremely fun activity is suitable for all. A number of different routes are open to you, depending on whether you want to spend a few hours or the whole day on the water.

Days out
Thanks to the campsite’s ideal location, you can head off on days out to discover the best locations the region has to offer.
Close to the campsite are local markets, the Cévennes steam railway, the bamboo forest in Anduze and the Trabuc caves. A little further afield, you will find the Mont-Aigoual meteorological observatory, the Bramabiau abyss, the Roman amphitheatre in Nîmes, the pont du Gard bridge, the cirque de Navacelles and the pont de Millau viaduct, if you are looking to add some extra wonder to your stay.
